Dioon holmgrenii

Dioon holmgrenii

This species is from the Pacific slopes in southern Oaxaca, Mexico.  It is rarely seen in landscapes and known more to collectors. The ends of the leaves are imbricate however at the median the leaflets are flat.  Another feature that identifies this species is that usually, one leaf will make a turn like it is waving. New leaves are fuzzy and covered with tomentum. In cultivation, plants are somewhat slow but trouble-free.
