Ceratozamia subroseophylla is a new name for a well-known plant. This plant was elevated to species level by the description published in 2016. In the past, we’ve cultivated this plant known as Ceratozamia robusta ‘Santiago Tuxtla’. The habit and character of the plant make it distinct from a shuttlecock habit to the foliage and falcate leaflets. We’ve cultivated plants in full sun as well as shade. This species is not as cold tolerant as other Ceratozamias so care should be exercised in growing this species in cool climates.
