Ceratozamia kuesteriana

Ceratozamia kuesteriana

Ceratozamia kuesteriana has qualities that could make it the perfect plant. It has a compact habit, small size, ease of culture, cold tolerance, grows well in full sun or deep shade, attractive brown emergent leaves, and spineless petioles. Native to Mexico in the Sierra Madre Oriental mountains. Plants were once common around El Cielo but many were extirpated for American collections. With land clearing and habitat loss today Ceratozamia kuesteriana is rare in habitat.
