Ceratozamia fuscoviridis is a beautiful plant. In the past this has been known as redback and Molango. The description comes from cultivated material and has a history of being poorly known. The habitats are in Hidalgo, Mexico with at least one large population residing in the cloud forest. The habit is upright to arching leaves that are dark red emergent. The ends of the leaves are truncated. The rachis is yellow.
