A petite plant from Chiapas, Mexico named for the Mexican botanist Dr. Faustino Miranda.  Plants look similar to C. kuesteriana but are easily distinguishable by observing the heavily armed petioles.  Ceratozamia mirandae is reported to be arborescent.  The new leaves have fantastic color.
